i think the americians should worry about their own streets first!!!i mean theres italian mafia, jewish mafia, gangs, christian KKK, all over the place, but why is that not under the lable “terrorism”??? its wierd how islam is highlighted above the rest ,don’t you think? jsut like any religion there are some that listen to PART of the religion and IGNORE the rest, for their own benifits. how do you think there became so many branches of christian? i think its kinda hypracritical of the usa to go to the mid-east and say no this way is right not your way. i mean how could they possibley understand why they are doing what they are doing if they don;t understand the culture or the religion. those are 2 different things, alot don’t know that!! i am canadian “white”, blue eyes, dark blond hair, with normal canadian accent cuz i’m canadian canadian, native in my blood with european mix, but still i am a convert from roman catholic to islam and arabs think i’m arab and canadians,americans think i’m arab. so i think we have to break these sterotype labeling and arguement differences at home before getting in the middle of someone elses.”live and let live!” as a child we are taught “violence is not the answer” and ” don’’ call names, thats not nice”why are the rules changing in adult hood? its pretty sad that the kids today are better than us adults, they don’t see colour or that mush picky difference that we, adults see today.

Why are the mafia not called terrorist (not sure what the christian KKK is, the KKK can not be considered Christian), when was the last time the mafia blew up a building? Their last suicide bomber? Sure they kill people, but they kill mostly other criminals, only sometimes do innocents get in the way. islamic terrorist target innocents mostly.malaak needs to study the culture (s)he is defending, yes most other religions have violent pasts, but in no other religion is violence required. In the qur’an it states that there are three things that can be done with an Infidel (a non-muslim), Convert them -try to turn them into a believer, Charge them – charge infidels a fee for not being a believer, or KILL the Infidels. No live and let live for islam is there? Also in the qur’an, apostates should be killed, no changing your mind there, no free will.I’m sure by now you are thinking, well the bible says to stone people and stuff like that, that doesn’t mean Christians should follow that. That’s true, the bible does have a lot of violence in it. The difference is that the bible was written by man, based on what they thought was God’s will, Times change and some of the writings in the bible are no longer valid. The qur’an on the other hand, was dictated to mo by allah, it is the word of allah, and must be adhered to! As the word of god, it is law, it can not be changed, it can not be altered, it can be criticized, it can not even be studied (most muslims don’t know what the qur’an says, it’s written in an old arabic language, they just memorize the passages). Most religions have changed with the times, islam has not changed since it was created.Yes, it is good to teach children that everyone is different, that violence is not always the best solution, that working together will help more than fighting, But in the real world, you have to fight. Please don’t tell me you don’t, that’s the biggest lie. You fight every day, maybe you don’t come to fisticuffs, but you fight traffic, fight for a promotion at work, fight with your wife(girl/boyfriend/neighbor…) etc, etc…One last thought, as for teaching children about violence, Islam promotes violence and that they pass on to their children. Look at photos in the news and on their own websites showing muslim children as young as toddlers holding guns and knives and shouting ‘death to Jews’, ‘Death to Israel’ and ‘death to America’, that is islam, teaching the next generation to hate.(Can you believe that I just wrote a post defending Christians?)Update: malaak, for a Canadian, your english sucks. so how is the weather in Dubai, UAE?

Yes, we were down for a while because of an Instalanche over at pereiraville. We’re back up for now, and the good news was that the server didn’t crash, it was either wordpress or mysql that went down from all the hits. The non-wordpress parts of the sites were up and running, just slow. Have to figure a way to restart mysql (which is what I think the problem is) when this happens. I also need to set up remote access to be able to restart the server or work on it if need be.

So every time that I develop film, I’m always afraid to open up the film tank and find a completely blank negative roll. It had never happened until last night, almost. I had been experimenting with true IR photography, I got an IR filter and IR film and went out and took some test shots. The film came out very thin, with only one that was even visable, the rest was almost totally clear.
Here’s the only salvagable photo so far:

I’m going to try to scan more, but doubt they will be any good.
