It’s Duane’s birthday so wish him a happy one.

Last Tuesday the American public decided to lose the war in Iraq and though they may not have realized it, maybe the war in Afganistan. In doing so, they have delayed the war on terror, not realizing that even if we run away like scared rabbits, the war will continue until they can no longer hide their heads in the sand. Sadly, having voted to withdraw from the enemies homeland, it looks like the fight will be continued on our homeland. Bin laden said something to the effect that Americans can’t take a fight, bloody thier noses a little and they run, he said that back when we ran from Somolia, on election day Americans showed him he was right. What will happen in Iraq after we run like spanked children from there is unknown, what is known is that the world will see we can not keep our word, we can not be counted on. Iran laughs and will work harder to develop nukes knowing we are pussies, North Korea laughs as it works harder to develop missiles to carry thier nukes knowing we are a paper tiger. China laughs knowing that it is the only true super power left and has nothing to worry about. Mohammed smiles as Islam continues to grow in Chad, Dufar and the rest of Africa, and in a Europe too afraid to curtail them. America may be the last stand, but we have decided to sit out the fight because we got bruised a little. Yet the public thinks that the war will end after we leave, that is the biggest mistake and may cost Americans dearly. The war will not end with our withdrawal, it will begin anew as al qaeda regroups and rearms. They will use our withdrawal to recruit more members to fight the defeated satan. When they are ready they will attack us again and this time we may not be able to fight back or if we do, we will have no one to help us as who would help a country that can not be counted on to help them?

I am going to try to visit the larger cities in the U. S. as soon as I can, before the planes once again start slamming into the buildings, before the subways run red with American’s blood, Before the smoldering crater that was once a city is born when the next battle in this war begins. You may laugh at my pessimistic view but seeing the open border policies, and the way that Americans bend over backwards to be PC, the next battle may not be too far off.

Peter sent another email from Afghanistan over night. Until I get his permission to post the whole thing, I think it is important to post this excerpt (emphasis my own):

The election results have caused us a bit of a problem here. The Taliban are telling everyone that they are winning the war and that the Americans are cowards because we voted for the peace party. Since the election the Taliban have stepped up their attacks because they believe victory is near. Usually, in November the fighting stops until April, but not this year. You should hear what Al Qada is saying, they released a tape the day after the election in Pakistan telling their supporter, “Soon we will drive the American Satan out, Devil Bush and his henchmen are gone and the weak have taken America over. Now we will take the Jihad (Holy War) to the shores of America, where we will kill the children and wives of the infidels”*** “We vow not to stop until we destroy the White House, even if it takes us a 100 years” “Death to America, Death to the Jews”. Now there is a picture of what we are dealing with. To them this is a religious war and they will not stop until the world turns to Allah. They intend on bringing the war to American. We are going to be at war for a long time, if not here back home.

These bastards bomb schools with kids in them. Every time we mistakenly kill a civilian the news makes us out like animals. These fanatics attack us then grab women and children and continue to shoot at us, who are the real animals? Lately, the Taliban have taken to executing people with college degrees or attending college because they are evil. “All you need to know is in the Koran, so those who study are Zionist trying to make us submit to the will of the Jews”. These people are just crazy, and you can’t reason and negotiate with crazy uneducated, religiously brain-washed people. The distain and hatred they have toward Jews and Christians is unbelievable. There I have to pontificate a little in each newsletter so why stop now. I don’t think people back home realize that even if we pull out this war will not be over, they will just bring it closer to our homes.

His email went into details about recent combat missions. I will only post it if he gives me permission. Peter also sent a memorial list. Please read the names, and say a prayer, and remember that these people died for us.

Peter has been hosting a trivia contest for his men and gives out prizes at the end of the week, like tee shirts or snacks. And I know Peter has been anxious to receive more cigars. Please continue to keep Peter and all our troops in your thoughts and prayers. Next week is Thanksgiving. You and I will be feasting in our temperature-controlled homes; Peter and his men will be pulling another 24-hour shift fighting for our right to protest their fight.
