So Chris Muir of Day by Day was by today. I got him to sign the comic he drew for us. I took pictures but I don’t have a way to transfer them at work so I’ll post them later.

Peter emailed from Afghanistan on Sunday. He gave me permission to post sanitized excerpts of his email.

…I just calculated that by the time I get home, I will have been in the army approximately 44 months out of the last 50 months. So much for a part-time job in the reserves. I just bought a patch for my uniform that says US Army Reserves “One weekend a month my ass”. Since 9/11 the reserves have been hit hard. They have calculated that close to 75% of the army reserves has been mobilized since 9/11. Also that about 20% of the force has been back three plus times. (I of course fall in that category).

Lately, we have had a lot of attempts at breeching our perimeter, and someone planted a bomb two days ago in one of our vehicles. The IED attacks have increased and it is much more dangerous to travel by vehicle. Since last email we lost two soldiers that were assigned to us.

As for the news, every time I hear it I get mad, because the media lies so much. My forces were out on a extended engagement and we killed 475 Taliban with no loses to us. However, the media was reporting we were getting our ass kick, I’d like to know where. They talk about the Taliban taking control of villages, another lie. They come in to a village when the army is out somewhere else, hold a press conference in front of city hall and say they took the place over. An hour later they are gone. That is like me going up and sitting in the AG’s Chair in his office when he is out of town and saying I am the AG.

The media reports that attacks are up because there are more Taliban, another fabrication. The Taliban have changed tactics and are fighting us in the open. We have killed more Taliban in the last three weeks than in the whole year. They come out in the open and claim more guys. More are dying and in fact we have devastated their forces. If we could go into Pakistan we can finish them in six months.

The media also says we have done nothing for the people. Also a lie, [edited] since the invasion have built 900 schools, 50 border control points, stood up 15,000 new Afghan Soldiers. Built two dams, 10 bridges, paved highways which they never had connecting the major cities. The economy is booming. Unlike Iraq, the Afghanis like us and keep telling me this has been the longest period of relative peace since the 1950′s. They also say unlike the Russians we pay for the goods we buy instead of just taking them. Everyone has spies here, even the French spy on us and report to the Taliban our movements, just doesn’t make sense. The Russians are getting involved with the drug trade and are also spying on us and providing aid to the Taliban via the drug-lords.

The media is not being truthful, why they would want to portray the US as loser I have no idea. If we lose, gas gets more expensive, more layoffs, higher taxes. I guess they rather sell papers and shows than make sure Americans prosper. Plus all those media people are rich, so big deal a bad economy doesn’t hurt me, but helps my bottom line.

I had someone tell me, you Americans are spoiled you have a great life but still complain. In the rest of the world things go bad and are happy when something goes well.

Since some of you are coming from Bou’s site, I figured I would post about the Friday Night Fights. Bou was over on Friday and most of the night was fine, but I guess I should have warned her not to try doing the dishes. I’m not exactly sure where we got all those wooden chairs they were both hitting each other over the head with or why they were breaking so easily, I also didn’t know we had so many plates to throw, and the inflatable pool with jello that they were wrestling in just seemed to appear out of nowhere. It took us all day Saturday to clean up the debris. Sorry Bou, I should have warned you, I’m sure the hair will grow back, until then they have the spray on hair stuff to cover the baldspot, at least that’s what RTE used.

Seems that the new router took a dive, had to put the old router on until I can fix or replace it. Always happens when I’m getting a lot of hits!

So I was out on the driveway yesterday after work, sawing, measuring and pounding with a sledge hammer to make a coffin. Halloween is fast approaching so I’m working to get ready. I had the front part of the coffin done so I propped it up against the front of the garage and went in to check on dinner. When I came back out I looked at the coffin and realized that anyone walking by would have seen it. I wonder what someone would have thought seeing a wooden coffin leaning against someones house? For most people I would think they wouldn’t understand that it’s for Halloween, it is after all about 6 weeks away. But seeing that we have three skeletons hanging in the garage, the neighbors pretty much know what to expect from us. Which reminds me, I need to order a skeletal hand and some more body parts.

Five Years Later

Five years ago islamic terrorist attacked the US by flying airplanes into the Twin Towers and into the Pentagon George W Bush started the war on ‘terror’ by attacking the peaceful taliban and then peaceful iraq.

Bullshit, That’s what the PC/liberal crowd wishes you to believe. For the record I will be using muslim terrorist and islamic terrorist because that is what they are and I don’t pull any punches. If you wish to dispute this with me then name one non-muslim terrorist that took part in the attacks, and please don’t bore me with any conspiracy theory bullshit, I’ve pointed out the stupidity of that claim in previous posts.

The Path to 9/11

So the left has their panties all in a bunch because ABC is airing The Path to 9/11 and it places some of the blame on Clinton. They claim that a scene that shows Sandy Berger (a man who stole documents in his pants!) as refusing to kill bin laden when he had the chance. While the scene may be fictionalized, the fact is that Clinton had a chance to get bin laden FOUR times and didn’t. I don’t put all the blame on Clinton for 9/11, after all, he is just a dumb pile of shit, but he does deserve more blame then Bush, he did do nothing after the first attack on the towers (after which planning for 9/11 started), nothing after the attacks on the Khobar Towers, nothing (almost) after the plot to kill GHW Bush, nothing after the USS Cole bombing… and so forth. So the film has them all in a hissy fit and democrats have even threatened to pull Disney’s broadcast license if it doesn’t change the film. This is the open minded liberals that supported michael mooron when he bitched that miramax didn’t want to release farenhorseshit 911 calling it censorship, nevermind that it had so much Shit in it that the greenhouse emissions from it directly affected the ozone layer and was most likely the direct cause of hurricane Charlie, Frances, Jeanne, Ivan, Wilma and Katrina!

History in the Schools

So what do they teach today in the schools about 9/11? I don’t really know. Today I will be at my daughters school for an event. I’m not sure if it is about 9/11 or an event to distract from 9/11, I am pretty sure of one thing, if they talk about 9/11, it won’t be to tell the children about the attack on America by islamic terrorists, I’m sure the children will not hear the term islam or muslim and what they hear will be a pc whitewash of the events

Five Years and Still Nothing

There and still two holes in the ground where the towers once stood. Why? The towers should be rebuilt… No they MUST be rebuilt, no freedom tower bullshit, build them as they were, at least on the outside, inside it should be built better and stronger. It took 10 years to build them the first time, we should be three or four years into the construction and yet they remain unstarted. The bigger insult is the way the pc crowd wants to ‘honor’ the lives lost on 9/11. They wanted a ‘blame America’ center at the twin towers site to explain the causes of 9/11. I’ll tell you the cause: piece of shit islamic terrorists. Then there is the United 93 memorial where the design is a crescent that is more a tribute to the islamic terrorists then the brave Americans that fought the bastards and foiled their plans.

Racist

Yea, I know the pc crowd loves to throw that word to anyone that points out the obvious, it was islamic radicals that attacked us, but shouting racist is hopefully a quick way to discredit someone. I don’t hate people that are muslims, just the idiots that practice the most radical version of islam. Sadly most of the non-violent muslims don’t have the courage or desire to stand up against the radical islamists.

They can’t be bargained with, they can’t be reasoned with, they don’t feel pity, or remorse and they absolutely will not stop, ever, until we are dead.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one:

The title quote is from the Terminator, I use it here for islamic terrorists. Appeasement will not work, anyone that thinks it does will eventually feel the sting of the scorpion. The cut and run crowd wish to postpone the fight, but that will let the enemy get stronger. We cannot back down, when Clinton did nothing after the earlier terrorist attacks, they didn’t back down, it emboldened them. They will attack us again, we need to make sure they are weaker when they do, if we back off now they will be stronger. We must not back down, they want to destroy us, we must destroy them first. By that I don’t mean islam or muslims, I mean the mindset that creates the radical islamists and muslims.

Well I have more but sadly, I type slowly and I’m tired for now, so this is to be continued…

OK so Florida does have one redeeming quality, Space Launches. The Atlantis just took off and I love being able to watch it from the back yard. I have never missed a launch, though one I couldn’t see because of the clouds between here and the coast.

You just sometimes think that some people are invincible, then a freak accident comes along. Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter, was killed by a stingray today. Me and RTY used to watch his show and loved his antics. He will be missed.

I installed a new faster router, sadly the sites are slower. It must be a setting on the new router as the old one works fine. I’ll have to look into it. In the meantime, things may be slow until I figure it out.

Update: Looks like the slow speeds are not from outside, reports say the site is faster. yay! now I have to figure out whats wrong on this end. if you have any problems leave me a comment.
